The biggest fundraising event in Minnesota, Give to the Max Day (GTMD) is coming up - November 20th. Every year the community shows up and exceeds our expectations. Last year, your generous giving raised over $10,000 to break down barriers to music lessons and programs.
We need your help! This year we have a goal to raise $12,000. Hopewell is committed to a thriving and vibrant music community in the Northside. When you make a donation this Give to the Max Day you are not just filling out a form or helping us reach a goal, YOU are providing the music, the instruments, the teachers - all of the resources needed for music programs. You make Hopewell’s mission and vision come to life.
Mark your calendars for Give to the Max Day on Thursday, November 20th, 2025, with Early Giving beginning on November 1. Hopewell on GiveMN.org during that time to make a donation, follow along with our goal progress, updated posts, and have your generosity counted as part of this year's campaign!

Mission
Hopewell’s mission is to improve access to music education in North Minneapolis through affordable, inclusive, and engaging music programs.
Why Music?
Due to long-standing issues of inequity, North Minneapolis residents have not had the same opportunities in music as those living in more affluent areas. Hopewell Music seeks to empower Northsiders of all backgrounds to express themselves creatively by removing barriers to an education in music. Sliding scale tuition is available for folks on federal or state assistance which removes financial barriers to music lessons, music classes, workshops, and camps. Our music school is also located on the Northside, providing a safe and affordable option for music education right in the neighborhood. In addition, Hopewell currently offers four ensembles that are free and open to anyone in the Northside community, so North Minneapolis musicians can come to make music with one another.
