Hopewell Music’s Community Choir presents Swingin’ Memories on Tuesday, June 14th from 2-3pm at Camden Care Center. Swingin’ Memories is an annual spring choir concert which highlights the history of the Northside community through music, food, and stories presented by Camden Care Center residents and Buzzie Bohn, a local historian at Camden Historical Center.
This year we are traveling from the sock hops of the 50’s to the grooviness of the 60’s through popular tunes and a BBQ reception post- concert attendees. Enjoy browsing through pictures of Minneapolis, hearing stories from local historian Buzzie Bohn and personal memories from the seniors of Camden Care Center, and see a clothing presentation from the Guthrie Theater. The event is free and open to the public. Donations to Hopewell Music to keep this historical program going are always welcomed and appreciated.
