Hopewell Music Cooperative North is pleased to announce it has received a $25,000 grant from the Carl and Eloise Pohlad Family Foundation. $10,000 of the grant will provide operating support and $15,000 will go towards summer programming. This grant is a part of their North Minneapolis Initiative.
The Pohlad Family Foundation was founded in 1993 by Carl and Eloise Pohlad established a family foundation so their family’s practice of supporting community needs could transition, in part, to a more public effort. Today the Pohlad Family Foundation is governed by Carl & Eloise’s three sons; Jim, Bob, and Bill Pohlad, and continues its work with gratitude for their parents' wisdom, generosity, and love of the Twin Cities. A broader mission statement focused on improving area residents' quality of life by a flexible approach allowing for timely responses to shifting community needs.
Hey, friends! We’ve got some great news. Right now, you have the opportunity to help Hopewell continue to make a difference.
Each month, Mill City Credit Union sponsors a $500 giveaway to small businesses or non-profit organizations that contributes to the greater community good. And this month, Hopewell is in the running for the prize and we need your support!
Though $500 might not seem like a lot, it can make a tremendous difference to the hundreds of students we serve in the North Minneapolis community. To put it in perspective, $600 is enough for 25 weeks of music lessons for the fantastic musicians in North Minneapolis.
All you have to do is click here and vote for Hopewell (we’re in first place and need your help to stay there!) and, if you feel so inclined, share with your friends and family. It only takes a minute and the voting ends today so let’s make it happen!
